School Coolers back Up and Running

Sodium hypochlorite was in the schools' plunbed in water cooler unitsSchools in one area of Russia recently got the all-clear to begin using their plumbed in water cooler units again, after the Department of Natural Resources had declared that the Sevastopol School District must discontinue the use of their units. A routine sampling taken on the 21st September revealed that the water supply contained traces of cloriform bacteria, whilst a second test a week later confirmed the same findings. Superintendent Steve Cromell announced that once the systems had been flushed with sodium hypochlorite, water samples that were sent to the lab during the first week of October came back all clear, and that they are delighted to have the plumbed in water cooler units up and running once again. The plan is now to continue monitoring the water on a weekly basis for the foreseeable future, to prevent anyone falling ill from drinking unsafe water. Considering this is not the first time the district has had problems in this area, this seems like a jolly good idea.
