The role of the BWCA in the water cooler industry

bwca-logo-british-water-cooler-assocationThe Water Cooler Company believes that it is important for our customers to understand the industry in which we work – in order for them to make an informed decision on which water cooler company to choose. These industry bodies work hard to ensure that members adhere to certain principles and methods outside the governmental regulatory framework and are also  important voices who speak for the industry in times of crisis.

The description that they give on their website is given below –

“The Bottled Water Cooler Association (BWCA) was established in 1989 to represent the interests of the bottled water cooler industry in the UK. A recent change of name to the BRITISH Water Cooler Association reflects the extended remit of the Association to encompass bottleless water coolers.”

We are not members of the BWCA – The British Water Cooler Association – as their focus is towards the bottled side of our industry – rather prefering to work with the industry body known as the EPDWA. We strongly recommend that potential customers ensure that their water cooler supplier is a member of the EPDWA or the BWCA – it ensures that the supplier adheres to certain principles above the basic governmental framework.
